Michael Aussiello's dream Emmy nominations

If you follow our cast on twitter, you might know about this already, but Aussiello has been pimpin' Community's actor in his dream Emmy nominations!

In his Part 1, Best Supporting Actor and Actress (comedy), he nominated:
* Alison Brie (Community): She deserves an Emmy for the pepper spray scene alone.
* Danny Pudi (Community): He’s made Abed part freak, part geek, and totally unique. Cut! Print!

and in his Part 3, Best Lead Actor and Actress (comedy), he nominated:
* Joel McHale (Community): Made an honor role of his snarky underachiever.

Here's to hoping his dreams will come true! How awesome would it be to have so much representation of our show? Would these people have been your choices too?

And yet he didn't nominate Community for best comedy series! And these aren't even the real nominations! Ours is an overlooked little show.
Still, grateful for the actors/actresses buzz.

Yeah, I thought it was weird, not nominating Community. He seems to like it? I don't know. I mean, Glee is more of a dramedy than a comedy, anyway.

Yeah! Glee's just a giant cheap ploy!

Aside from the fact that Community should be nominated (and WIN) in all possible categories, sure, those are good. I'd be fine with nods to either of the main seven, but I might actually prefer Gillian over Allison just a little though. Both are AMAZING and hilarious and awesome, but Gillian got the toughest role of them and I just love how she's made Britta so likable while still keeping her in line with the pilot (which I know wasn't a great intro for her, I was a little skeptical myself and I pretty much love everyone who's as pretty as her).
I actually think I like Allison more, but it feels like Gillian deserves it more. Although for those stubborn people who still hate her that might just piss them off even more, so maybe Allison would be better from that POV...

(Is it weird that one of Community's theme songs in my head is "Take on Me" with the words changed to "Hate on Glee"? Yeah, thought as much. Well, that's okay, I'm weird.)

I agree about the Gillian nomination. I wish they both could get one, in fact. And Yvette. And EVERYONE. Seriously, this is one of the best-acted show on TV. (Also, Gillian is indeed VERY pretty.)

Aaaaand you just put Take on Me in my head. It's gonna be stuck there all day. CURSE YOU.

YES EVERYONE! AND NO ONE ELSE! They can rename them The Danny's (after both Dan Harmon and Danny Pudi) and then they would finally be awesome. :D

Heee. It makes me feel better knowing my misery is shared, because I'm totally evil like that. :D

I think Gillian should be nominated in the "leading actress" category... maybe that's why they skipped her?

I also think Donald should be nominated too :( Or Ken Jeong... or Jim Rash... THE WHOLE CAST SHOULD BE NOMINATED GODDAMNIT!

I have a feeling that the more-hyped network comedies will take any slots Community might have, and that the rest will be filled by niche cable shows. So we might as well get our satisfaction from Aussiello pimping the show in his column.

I only disagreed with the latest Ausiello post, where he rec'd Glee and Cougar Town to be nominated for Outstanding Comedy over Community.
Anyway, I certainly hope they all get Emmy nods, they deserve them.

I stopped watching the Emmys after they snubbed The Wire for its entire run. How can you shut out what critics almost universally consider the greatest drama in TV history for five straight years? It still makes me a little bit angry even today.

I'm thinking Modern Family will get it this year. 30 Rock had a subpar season, but as the incumbent it has a good shot. Glee is in the "I'm surprised it won but I really shouldn't be" lane.

If Community doesn't get nominated this year I won't be surprised, nor will I be disappointed. Next year, though, if the show manages to be as consistent as episodes 7-12 of its first season, I'll expect not only the nomination, but the win.

I'd love for Alison Brie and Danny Pudi to be nominated for an emmy. They would totally deserve it!

They all deserve the nominations. I think Ausiello was being slightly more realistic when he picked for Comedy Series. Hopefully these lists will sway some Emmy voters to vote for Community. I'd be ecstatic if the show were nominated for Comedy Series.

They are ALL so amazing, I wish they could all be nominated! But I agree that Danny and Alison would be awesome choices; both of them are probably my favorites.
